Join us in The Barn to hear local artists tell their stories! Learn about the creative journeys these artists are on and gain insights into their phenomenal processes. It is truly an honor not only to carry their works in our store, but to have the opportunity to hear their stories from their perspectives.
Eric MacIntrye- Eric MacIntyre opened Village Handcraft as a workshop and storefront for handmade goods in Wiscasset. Recently switching careers and combining his passion for the outdoors and craft, Eric’s wooden pieces are carved and created exclusively with hand tools. Creating his own works and teaching others the craft of hand carving, Eric aims to add a bit of joy to everyday tasks with his creations. Eric is a fantastic teacher and his workshops hosted in his beautiful studio are phenomenal!
Richard MacDonald- Richard Macdonald is a stained glass master. He has decades of experience in creating stunning works of art ranging from window panels, sconces, mirrors, nautical imagery and so much more. In addition to Richards production line, he creates one of a kind art pieces that reference nature, spirit and the sea. His studio in Boothbay Harbor is open to the public.
Sarah Spencer- Sarah Spencer is a mixed media artist with a degree in Fine Arts and Classics. Living, working, and creating in the Boothbay area for the past year, she has found inspiration in the abundance of nature and craft here. She enjoys combining her background in traditional painting with different media, such as bookbinding, cyanotype, and printmaking. Sarah is also one of our workshop teachers as The Barn. Her extensive knowledge of the art history combined with her gentle spirit and humor make her an exceptional teacher we are so lucky to have.
The preservation of traditional crafts is an honorable pursuit that we at The Barn a dedicated to supporting.
This event is free and open to the public!
